A city that has been stranded deep in virgin elfin forest to stave off an invasion by the merciless oni. Others are new to readers. Law forages for wild plants and fish to sell to elf enclaves.  · Elfhome is another great journey in the world Wen Spencer has created. This is the third book in the series and can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading Tinker and Wolf Who Rules first. There is so much in Elfhome it is hard to know where to start so I will just pick a place/5.

Spencer also does a great job creating the civilization of Elfhome that lives just outside the Pittsburg city limits. I haven't read a better meditation on how greatly extended life affects society. Overall, this book is excellently written and is an utter page-turner. Elfhome is a fantasy series written by Wen Spencer.
